This Privacy Policy describes how Apna Siddharth Nagar handles information when you use the app. Apna Siddharth Nagar is an independent local guide application for Siddharthnagar district and is not an official government app.
The app provides public local-guide features without requiring sign-in. Optional merchant and admin tools use Google Sign-In, Firebase Authentication, and a developer-controlled backend account system.

Stored locally on your device:
- Saved place selections
- Language mode preference
- Cached sign-in session token

- User IDs (Firebase-linked and backend-linked identifiers)
- Display name (when available from the identity provider)
- Merchant shop profile details and merchant-created post/deal content
4. Location Data Handling
The app requests device location permissions (Approximate and Precise location) to calculate distances and filter deals/shops near you. This location calculation is performed locally on the device for general users and is not transmitted to our servers.
For Merchant users, the coordinates (latitude/longitude) of the shop are transmitted and stored in our database so they can be displayed to nearby users.
5. Permissions and Device Access
The app requests access to device location permissions (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) for proximity features. It does not request access to other sensitive permissions like contacts, camera, microphone, or storage.
Internet access is required to fetch live deals, public updates, and support merchant/admin sign-in features.
6. How Data Is Used
Local app preferences are used only to support features like saving places and switching display language.
Account and shop data are used for authentication, session creation, account management, merchant shop verification, and deal publishing.
No data is used for ads or third-party tracking.
7. Sharing and Third-Party Services
Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication are used to authenticate optional merchant and admin users. No data is shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
External actions like opening map routes or calling links are handled only when you tap them.
The app does not contain advertising SDKs or third-party analytics trackers.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Local preferences stay on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app storage in your device settings.
For signed-in users, account deletion is available inside the app. Requesting account deletion permanently removes your account, linked merchant shop profile, and published posts from our database.

9. Security
The app uses Android's built-in sandboxing to secure local data. All network traffic between the app and the backend API is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
