This Privacy Policy describes how My Phone Agent handles information when you use the app. My Phone Agent is an intelligent personal utility application designed to help users scan, extract, and categorize information from their documents, receipts, screenshots, and invitations.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

The app stores scanned document image files locally inside the app's secure private directory on your phone so you can view them anytime. The app also stores configuration preferences locally, including:

• Automatic scanning enabled/disabled status
• Folder observation paths

4. Information Processed by the Server

To recognize and structure the details of your document (such as extracting amounts from bills or dates from event invites), the app sends the image securely to your server. The server performs:

• AI-based OCR and visual classification
• Storing of the extracted metadata (title, category, summary, and fields) inside a local database file (captures.json) on the server

The original image is processed only to perform extraction and is not permanently stored on the server.

5. Permissions and Device Access

To support its utility features, the app requests the following permissions:

• Photos/Storage Access (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required to let you select documents or screenshots from your photo gallery.
• Calendar Access (READ_CALENDAR / WRITE_CALENDAR): Required to find your primary calendar and auto-sync detected event invitations to your phone's schedule.
• Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC): Required to run the screenshot monitoring service in the background so that captured screenshots can be parsed immediately.
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Required to show status details when the background screenshot monitoring is active.

6. How Data Is Used

The extracted details (dates, times, total amounts) are used solely to populate the app's dashboards, group your scans, and automatically populate calendar event details. Your scanned files and metadata are never used for advertisement target tracking or profiling.

7. Sharing and Third-Party Services

The backend server securely routes document images to the Groq API for Llama vision model processing. Data is transmitted securely and is not shared with other third parties or sold.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

You have complete control over your data. If you delete a scan in the app (by sliding the item card to the left and tapping delete), the app immediately:

• Deletes the local image file from your phone's storage
• Sends a request to the backend server to permanently delete the capture entry from the captures.json database file

Uninstalling the app also clears all local files from your phone's storage.

9. Security

All data transfer between the Android application and the backend server is encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer / Transport Layer Security (HTTPS).

10. Children's Privacy

The app is a general-audience utility productivity tool and does not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect feature upgrades or policy adjustments. The latest version will always be accessible from the Google Play Store console listing.
